There has a great deal of media attention recently about our ageing population and the impact this will have on our health care system. The ARI reocgnises these challenges and as a result has released a position statement on the issue. Further, the ARI are currenlty lobbying for funding to run healthy lifestyle programs for the older members of our community. Please click on the link below to review this statement:

Rates of Pay. 5 Years, 2 Months ago
I work at a category 5 pool, 50 meter, multi purpose centre as Pool Superintendent grade 7 step 3. We regulary have over 500 patrons a day and there is only one person on duty. We have smaller 25 meter pools in our Shire. These are category 4, low patronage, their Pool Superintendents are paid the same as me, grade 7 step 3.

I was wondering if there is any legislation to reward Pool Superintendents who have more patrons and higher work load ? Truck drivers in our Shire are paid more if they drive a bigger truck. Shouldn't this be an argument pertain to the Pool industry as well ?

I have also heard of some Pool Superintendents being graded at 11, step 3.

I would be gratefull for any feed back and or advice. Thank you.

Kind regard
